When you apply for membership or use our platform, we may collect:

  • Phone number
  • City of residence (optional)
  • Freediving certification level and supporting documentation
  • Profile photo (if provided via Google sign-in)
  • Dive session bookings, reports, and carpool preferences

We do not collect payment information. We do not sell your data to third parties.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Review and process your membership application
  • Verify your freediving certification
  • Manage dive session bookings and attendance
  • Coordinate carpool arrangements between members
  • Send community updates relevant to your membership
  • Ensure safety by confirming certified participation

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Firestore and Firebase Storage), hosted within Google's infrastructure. We apply access controls so that only you and authorised administrators can view your personal details. Certification documents are stored with restricted access and used solely for verification purposes.

Member lists, booking attendance, and dive reports may be visible to other approved members of the community, consistent with the collaborative nature of the platform.

Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your membership is active. If your application is rejected or you request deletion of your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required for safety or legal purposes.

Cookies & Analytics

Analytics cookies require your consent

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our platform. This is a single anonymous analytics tool — no advertising or cross-site tracking. We ask for your consent the first time you visit, and you can change your preference at any time by clearing your browser's local storage.

Essential authentication cookies (Firebase Auth) are always active — they keep you signed in and cannot be disabled while using the platform.
