To become a member of The Fanatic Freedivers, you must:

• Hold a valid freediving certification from a recognised agency (AIDA, SSI, PADI, Molchanovs, or equivalent)
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Submit a complete membership application including your certification documentation
• Be approved by the The Fanatic Freedivers administration team

Membership is granted at the sole discretion of the administration team. We reserve the right to decline any application without providing a reason.

When booking or participating in a dive session, you acknowledge that:

• You must always dive with a buddy — solo freediving is strictly prohibited
• You must be honest about your current fitness and health before each dive
• You are responsible for your own equipment being in safe working condition
• Session organisers and administrators are not liable for accidents or injuries
• You will not dive if you feel unwell, fatigued, or have consumed alcohol or drugs

You may cancel your booking at any time before the session. Please do so as early as possible so other members can take your spot. Repeated no-shows without cancellation may result in a temporary suspension of booking privileges.

Session organisers may cancel or reschedule a session at any time due to safety, weather, or other unforeseen circumstances. Registered attendees will see the cancellation reason on the session page.

When using the The Fanatic Freedivers platform, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and truthful information in your profile and application
• Use the platform only for its intended community purposes
• Respect other members' privacy — do not share personal information outside the community
• Not attempt to misuse, disrupt, or gain unauthorised access to the platform
• Not impersonate other members or administrators

When submitting dive reports, photos, or other content to the platform, you grant The Fanatic Freedivers a non-exclusive licence to display that content within the community platform. You retain ownership of your content and may request its removal at any time.

You must not upload content that is offensive, defamatory, or in violation of any applicable law.

Carpool arrangements made through the platform are entirely voluntary and between members directly. The Fanatic Freedivers assumes no responsibility for transport arrangements, including vehicle safety, punctuality, or any incidents during travel.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your membership if you violate these Terms, the Code of Conduct, or engage in behaviour that puts yourself or others at risk. You may also choose to leave the community at any time by contacting us at dive@fanaticfreedivers.nl.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Dutch courts.
